Reached max subscriptions with Google Reader...

Today I got the following message in google reader:

Your account appears to have too many subscriptions. The "All Items" view and unread counts may not be displayed correctly.

I checked and indeed I now have 1997 subscriptions (!)

I do read a lot of blogs but this is not the main reason for this number. The reason is that I follow many threads in the MSDN WCF Forum and other forums. Now I'm not really sure what to do, if I should open a new Google account, use some other aggregator or just live with it as is...
